Jacquelyn Marie Gallo is a writer and artist living in Manhattan. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and is a graduate of the Riggio Writing and Democracy Program at the New School.

 

Along with regular contributions to the Brooklyn Rail, her work has appeared in PANK Magazine’s Latinx Anthology, Columbia Journal, Dossier Journal, and Art Critical. She has read and performed at numerous cultural and academic institutions including the American Museum of Natural History, the National Arts Club, NYC's Teach for America, Bowery Poetry Club, the Red Room, KGB Bar, and Dixon Place.

 

She describes her work as 'Florida Gothic' —that is, Southern Gothic with a Florida twist.
